"the submission was a duplicate of one that was received"

When I try to submit my return, I receive this message ""the submission was a duplicate of one that was received. Please contact customer support."

 

I have spent over 10 hours on the phone with four different representatives. no one has any idea why this technical error is happening.

    have you tried checking the status on the iRS website?  if you're due a refund use this site.

    if you owe you'll have to register to review your account

    the only purpose is tos ee what the iRS says.

    could you have previously selected to transmit your return, or do you have family members who could have gained access to the return.

    IRS hasn't received it. It's a turbotax software issue, but none of their reps are able to solve it.

    Was your return rejected by the IRS? You may have to paper file.
