The system will not let me continue because it wants me to fill out a code for Box 12. There is NO CODE on my W-12 for Box 12. What should I do?

NO CODE for Box 12. System won't let me continue without putting something in that box.

If there is no code in Box 12, make sure there also is no dollar amount.

If Box 12 is COMPLETLEY blank, I suggest you delete the W-2 and re-enter it manually, type it in, don't try to upload it.

If there is a dollar amount, but no code, you'll need to get the code and/or a corrected W-2 from your employer.
