Question

The vehicle mileage deduction it’s not calculated correctly by the website. I put in total of 34001 miles in 2024 and standard rate shows as $1300. What can be done?

With the standard rate of $0.67 per mile the amount of deduction should be no less than $22,680 but the website calculates it as $1300, I tried to input different amount of miles to test it out and with amount of miles 7,000 and 200,000 the amount of deduction doesn’t change. How can I contact technical support? This is clearly a glitch. Has anybody come across the same problem?

Can you clarify if it was selected to let TurboTax calculate your deduction for you was selected or is it selected to let you enter your deduction?

Having the same problem.  Very frustrating.  Have logged 21,722.2 miles into Quickbooks and it still only shows a deduction of $3,350.00.    When it should be $14,553.87.   How do we fix this problem.

Is this an issue in QuickBooks or TurboTax?  This has not been a reported issue in TurboTax and when I enter mileage, the calculation is correct.

If this is a QuickBooks issue, please contact their support team.
