I am assuming that this question pertains to a self-employment activity.

If you have expenses due to self-employed business expenses, you need TurboTax Home & Business in Desktop or TurboTax Self-Employed online. Please see the steps below to enter your expenses in TurboTax Online. 

1. Select the Federal Taxes tab
2. Scroll down to Self Employment Income and Expenses and click Review (this assumes that you have already entered your self-employed income)
3. Click Review again next to the specific self-employed activity and proceed through the interview until you reach the screen that says: What kind of expenses did you have for ______?
4. Check the box that says Vehicle and continue through the other expense checkboxes. Click Continue.
5. On the screen that says Here’s your ______ info, scroll to Expenses, and click Start next to Vehicle.
