Trouble importing 1099 data from Fidelity

Working with a downloaded version of TurboTax 2022. Before I can import my 1099 data TurboTax requires me to log into my Intuit account for fraud purposes. But the screen just goes blank and stays blank when I select the Logon choice. In the past I only needed to log in to my Fidelity account for TurboTax to import my 1099-DIV and 1099-B data. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Carissa,

You are correct. An update to my TurboTax software was necessary to correct this problem. Once the update completed I had NO trouble logging on to my Intuit account to facilitate the importing of all my Fidelity 1099 forms. Thanks for your suggestion.

I updated my turbo tax but still get "Tax form data is available for import but has exceeded allowable import volume". What should I do?

It depends. Are you trying to import 1099 data from a financial institution or are you trying to import last year's TurboTax file?

Users have reported error messages similar to yours when they attempted to import a PDF file rather than the TurboTax data file.

See this help article for the steps to import your prior year tax return file.

See this help article for instructions to import 1099 information from payers.

First, even though all your tax info comes from National Financial Services and is identified as such on your forms, when attempting to download your 1099's etc., from Fidelity Investments, , make sure you choose "Fidelity Investments" from the dropdown menu.  DO NOT choose National Financial Services from the dropdown menu because that will take you to a "WealthScape"  screen which asks you for a WealthScape user ID/password.  WealthScape is a platform only for Institutional investors. As an individual Investor you do not need it and do not want it.  So, to repeat, make sure you choose Fidelity Investments from the dropdown menu and you will be taken  to the proper download screen enabling to import your 1099's etc. from Fidelity Investments.
