Trying to download my 2018 tax return from Turbo Tax. It is not working. 2019 return is asking if I itemized in 2018...TurboTax should know this!!

What version of the software are you using? For online versions, choose Tax Tools from the menu on the left. Click on Print Center. You should be able to access prior year documents from there.

 

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

 

You can also get free transcripts of your federal return from the IRS.

In 2018, you will be able to determine if you took the standard deduction or itemized on line 8 of Form 1040. Itemized deductions are reported and calculated on Schedule A.
