You cannot do that. A .pdf is simply a photograph of your tax return. Just log into TT using the same User ID and password as you did for 2019, and the system will transfer your info into 2020 as necessary.

Where did you do the 2019 return? Online or in the Desktop program? If you used Online just log into the same account and it should automatically transfer. If you used the Desktop program you can transfer the .tax2019 file from your computer into the Online version.
