Question

TT online user 8th year. Located in Indiana. In the past I was able to final submit 1040 2018 extension return as late as 3:00am local time. What is the cut off time?

You can e-file until midnight in your time zone. If the return is rejected you have until October 20 to fix it and re- file it.

    Hi,

Thank you for the prompt reply.  The reason I was asking is because I am in a time crunch.  In the previous years I submitted between the local hours of 1:00 am and 3:00am (night of deadline) without any issue.  I was assuming this was because of servers located in California maybe?  Do you know for sure if 12:00 midnight is technically the actual latest?  I hate asking again but the information will change my course in completing the online return.

    Best Regards,
