Turbo tax deluxe, more info

It says I have to upgrade to Deluxe to file my return because I have a retirement contribution credit. That page states I can upgrade for $40 but the website says the upgrade is $80. Which is correct? Is this a one-time payment, if so how long is it active? Does the plan automatically renew? Any further info would be appreciated.

I would suggest reviewing the amount of your fees in TurboTax. You can review your fees before checking out.

Log into your TurboTax account and enter your return.
In the left margin click on Tax Tools
Next click on Tools
Next click on "My Fees" in the top half of the page.

There you will be able to see what your total fees are before you check out and file your return.

This is a one time payment. Each year when you start in TurboTax, you start in Free and then as you enter your tax information, you will be asked to upgrade if you add additional form to your tax return. TurboTax pricing increases as we get further into the tax filing season so you will want to pay your fees now so to not get caught in a price increase the longer you wait.

Saving for retirement is a great way to building wealth and with the retirement savings credit, you have the opportunity to save on your taxes also. Keep up the good work.
