Turbo Tax does not recognize my 2 banks!!!!!!! Does this mean I have to enter all data by hand? WTF?

    YEs, there are Thousands of banks that do not provide the specially-formatted files needed for importing them into tax software.  The import files have to have a special format...not all will bother with the extra staff and/or programming required.

     

    So if your bank isn't in the list, you'll have to enter the data manually.

    I have tried to enter the name of the company from which the 1099-INT came but still not allowed

    Is your bank listed as an import partner?  Go to this website for 1099/1098 Partners -  https://www.intuit.com/partners/fdp/implementation-support/tax-import/program-overview/partner-list/#1099/1098-partners

    Here is the list of Import Partners.  We are sorry that your bank is not on the partner list. You could ask the bank to partner with TurboTax.
