I bought turbotax Deluxe Federal Only at Sam's Club. My husband and I are married filing separately. I installed the program on my computer and completed my return and filed it a few days ago. Can he use my Intuit account to file his return or does he have to purchase a separate license?
If you have the software downloaded to your computer, you can just open up the program and go to File on the top of your computer screen, click NEW RETURN and your spouse can use that same program to prepare his return. When you use the download software, it is on your own hard drive. You do not have to keep "logging in" to an online account for every return. You can prepare and e-file up to five federal returns with that program.
