Question

Turbo Tax for 2023 did not provide the AMT 6251 form. I have $-38,000 loss from 2023. As a result no carryover per Turbe Tax

    Your carryover loss would still be used for regular income even without the 6251.  Some losses are removed and not allowed to be used if you trigger the AMT but if you don't trigger the AMT the 6251 is not a required form.  

     

    You should be able to take an NOL deduction and carry it into this year regardless of the 6251.  You may have to manually enter the NOL though.
