Turbo tax is asking for the Control Number in box 'd' ... but there is nothing printed in box d on my W2. Turbo is requiring a value and it will not accept 0 ... help

W2 box d Control number is not needed. See

The control number in box d is not required by the IRS - it is used by your employer. As a result, if it causing you trouble, just delete it. If it is not causing you trouble, then leave it in - it won't matter.

Are you trying to import the W2? Don't. Type it in manually. At the bottom pick - Change How I enter my Form
Then on the next screen pick - I'll Type it in Myself
