First, I uploaded my forms, and the reference number is 1164288.

I have two 1099R forms. One is a withdrawal from my 401k and the taxable amount records correctly. The second is an In-Plan conversion to Roth, code G, with a taxable amount. While I appreciate the nice refund, I would be getting I'm sure the IRS wouldn't be amused.

Uploading doesn't ensure the $$ went into the right boxes.

ALWAYS EDIT each one after uploading, and make sure that the correct boxes were used for each $$ amount,

AND....go carefully thru the follow-up questions after each form.   Especially the conversion to ROTH...the follow-up questions require you indicate that it went to a ROTH.

Thanks. checking the box that this was moved to a Roth IRA fixed the tax issue but is seem wrong. The money did go anywhere. It was a simple In-Plan-Conversion or recagorization. The money stayed in the same account.
