Turbo Tax Product Choices

Hi,

New to the forum, but not new to TurboTax (TT).

I'm reading that TT has abandoned selling TT CDs for 2024 in lieu of online/cloud software or download of an *.exe file. My question is about the product selection, in the past there were 4 products you could purchase in the CD format (See photo below: Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business, and Business).

In light of eliminating the CDs, will TT continue to offer the 4 products like they did in the past (except now as an online/cloud version)?

Here is the link to buy the Desktop program from Turbo Tax. Or you can find them in stores and Online like Amazon

Yes the Desktop program is still the same. And the 4 personal versions are Basic, Deluxe, Premier and Home & Business . And the separate Business program for Corps , Partnerships and Trust/Estate. All the Desktop personal programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.

The Download program is EXACTLY the same Desktop program as the CD. You buy it the same way directly from Turbo Tax or in stores like Costco. When you installed the CD you still had to go online to update it. It's only the method you use to install it. Even when I bought the CD I used the download method to install it.

The confusion people have is that the Online version is NOT the Download program.
