Turbo Tax Reporting You have a W-2c coming - deferred Social Security Taxes

I've never seen this message before; I'm trying to file my son's taxes, but it's reporting "You have a W-2c coming ... since you've deferred some of your Social Security taxes last year...you'll get Form W-2c from your employer once you've repaid what you deferred".  This may have been because he's essential and his employer paid a Covid19 "hero pay", but shouldn't they have taken out the SS taxes?

Does anyone have experience with this?

Employees/employers were allowed to  defer SS tax payment from Sept-Dec of 2020  (but not required to...except for Military or other US Govt employees).....but if box 4 is 6.2% of box 3 on the W-2, then that deferment did not happen.

There was a recent update to the software to include that notice, which will confuse thousands of folks

It is supposedly a "helpful" notice (which is may not be helpful) , and does not change, or stop your filing of taxes in any way.

It is likely just a calculation  screw-up in the software...that does not affect your taxes in any way.

Just edit each W-2 you entered, and make sure box 4 is entered to be the same number as on your paper/PDF W-2 from that employer.  If box 4 is 6.2% of box 3...then nothing is wrong, and ignore that notice entirely.
