Turbo tax seems to have listed the box numbers for the w2 wrong.

TurboTax does not have the box numbers for a W-2 wrong.   Do you have something that is not a W-2 that you are trying to enter as a W-2?  What are you trying to enter?   Is it some sort of a 1099?

No.  TurboTax uses the exact same box numbers as used by the IRS Form W-2 - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/fw2--2021.pdf

 

What tax form are you trying to enter?

For a W-2 you enter it in the section for W-2's.  For a Form 1099-R or SSA-1099 you enter it in the  Retirement Plans and Social Security section.
