Turbo tax used the standard deduction even though my Schedule A (itemized) is slightly higher. Why? I noticed this after e-filing.

TurboTax utilizes the higher of your standard deduction or your itemized deduction.  Attached is a link with the standard deduction amounts for 2020.  You can review the amounts to make sure you are using the most updated amounts.

When you prepared your tax return, you would have a screen similar to the one below.  There is an option to select Change my deduction and that could have accidentally been selected.

If your tax return as filed shows the lower amounts being used as the deduction, you may want to amend your return to ensure you are able to utilize the best option for you.
