To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

The 5 digit PIN being requested by TurboTax in the File section of the program is for e-filing.  You can enter any 5 digits you select for that PIN

The 5 digit PIN is an electronic filing PIN which is your signature. You select it to electronically sign your tax return.

For more information, review the IRS article Self-select PIN method for Forms 1040.It's created by the customer.

The IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) is a 6-digit number that the IRS provides to taxpayers to validate their identity,

Follow the instructions in the TurboTax article How do I add or remove my 6-digit IP PIN? to enter your IP PIN in the correct spot.

Go to the FEDERAL TAXES drop down menu on upper left side and click. Now go to OTHER TAX SITUATIONS.  Look for OTHER RETURN INFO.  Under this heading you will see IDENTITY PROTECTION PIN.  Press on update.  Now enter your 6 digit PIN from the IRS.  Now exit.  Continue with your return.  Somehow TurboTax enters the correct 5 digit pin to your return.  I did this and it worked.
