Turbo Tax won't let me Efile MFS Non resident alien spouse

How come 2024 Pub 501 states that NFS with non resident alien spouse can be efiled by entering NRA below the filing status? But, Turbo Tax won't let me enter anything other than a fake SSN, fake SSN will cause the return to be rejected by IRS. Is there a fix to this? IRS is extremely under staffed, if I have to file on paper, my refund could take years... Thanks

You should be able to file Married Filing Single without entering an ITIN or Social Security Number for your spouse.

TurboTax might say it does not like it, but you should be able to continue and e-file as long as you filed separately or single last year (so your Social Security Number was listed first) and your 2023 AGI (if needed) matches.
