Anyone sen this kind of issue before? I've tested the 2017, 2018 and 2020 versions and they all update just fine, but the TurboTax 2019 Home & Business version fails updating with this "Error 42016: Unexpected content received" although it does reach out to the server - looks like it cannot understand the received content. I'd appreciate any help on finding a real solution to this issue. TT tech support team??

TurboTax is longer supported for years before 2021. Updates are not supposed to be available for 2020 or earlier. I'm surprised that you were able to get updates for any of the other years.

Sorry you won’t be able to install or reinstall or activate 2019. They only support the last 3 years. And the License Code started in 2019. So 2019 and 2020 needs to connect to Turbo Tax to verify the License Code. But they only support the last 3 years. So you can’t install and activate 2020 and prior (then add a year going forward).

Surprised you got 2020 activated and got 2018 & prior updated.
