Question

Turbotax auto-populated a 2021 SE income loss and won't let me input the correct 2021 SE income information. I hadn't entered 2021 SE income yet. How to fix?

Edit/Add button does nothing except give me options for changing general business information.
Revisit brings me to the same Edit/Add button that doesn't work.

Is this a Schedule C that was created on a prior year Federal 1040 tax return? Then it was carried forward from the 2020 Federal 1040 tax to the 2021 Federal 1040 tax return?

If so, there may be depreciation expense or an amortization that was reported on a previous year's tax return that is being reported before you make an entry on the 2021 Federal 1040 tax return.

If Edit / Add does not work, are you in the correct version of TurboTax? Are you seeing 'Self-employed' or some other version name in the upper left hand corner of the screen?
