Question

TurboTax automatically provided me with my 2017 AGI on my 2018 tax return but the IRS and state rejected because of the AGI saying it is wrong. What now?

Your AGI may not be matching what the IRS has on record for you if you Amended your return.  You need to use the AGI from your original return, not your Amended return.

You can order a free transcript online from the IRS to see what they have on record for your 2017 AGI by clicking here: Get My Transcript.  Your IRS transcript will include your AGI from last year.

For more information, you can check out the TurboTax FAQ link for more details on Finding Your 2017 AGI.
