I purchased the 2024 TurboTax deluxe download from Costco and now it’s saying to pay and extra $40 to e file?

If you have a $25 state e-file fee, pay that fee upfront using a credit or debit card. Do NOT choose that you want to pay the $25 from your federal refund. If you make that choice, it charges you an extra $40 fee to have your federal refund go first to a third party bank that takes out the $25 to pay TurboTax, keeps the $40 for itself and sends the rest of the refund to you. You do NOT have to use that. Back button if needed and look more closely at the screens and make the choice to pay with a credit card.
