Turbotax desktop stops working when I try to start a new return

I purchased and installed turbotax deluxe 2024 on windows. It was fine for my first return. When i click the button to "start a new return" for my son, it says "turbotax has stopped working". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I uninstalled all previous years of turbotax, and the same thing happens. Any suggestions??

    Right click on the TurboTax icon, select "Properties", then  "Compatibility", then check the box "run this program in compatibility mode for (your Windows version)", then run as "Administrator."

    Yes! This worked! I called customer support, and after first having me uninstall and reinstall TT, this is what they suggested to do next, and it worked.
