Question

Turbotax double counted my UI payments. In schedule 1, line 8z, there's RTAA payments for $10,800 the same amount that's in Line 7. Can I manually back it out?

Check your entries in the income interviews. Did you enter the amount as Unemployment Compensation? Did you enter it as Other Miscellaneous Income?

I just tried entering UI in the Unemployment section in Home and Business and it didn't cause a duplicate entry. What version of TurboTax are you using?

Please see the discussion in this thread. Some other users encountered this issue depending on how it was entered but were able to resolve it. One user noted that deleting the information and reentering it manually helped.
