turbotax failed to file state tax

I filed my fed taxes via turbo tax and it was accepted...I then proceeded to file my state tax.  I paid the $25 fee (plus tax) and tried to submit.  I got the following message....

"we are experiencing internet transmission problems.  Your transmission didn't go through  Intuits electronic filing Center did not receive your return.  Please try again later"

I have been trying for 3 days and continue to get the same message.  I am so frustrated in dealing with Turbotax.  Every year there always seems to be a problem.  I tried to cut/paste the actual msg but this forum would not allow me to past the msg.

I then went to the first page of the State summary and see  "Do not mail a paper copy of your tax return. Since you filed Mail | electronically, the West Virginia Tax Division already has your| return."

So which is it?  Did turbotax actually filed my state taxes as stated on the cover page or did turbotax not file my state taxes because of some internet problems....

I would try these steps to resolve if you are using the online version:

    • Clearing your Cache and Cookies
    • Using a different browser
    • Opening an Incognito Window

You get an email once your state is accepted, so if you haven't gotten that, I would assume your state has not been filed.

thank you for  your response....unfortunately, non of your suggestions helped solve the problem....however, we did eventually solve the problem (no thanks to Intuit/TurboTax)....it turns out that there is a size limit on attachments....we stumbled on the solution...I think TurboTax should advise their customers that there is a size lime (file size) and state the maximum

I have a similar issue.  How did you find the file size and how did you resolve, since Intuit/Turbo Crap hasn't been able to solve my issue in over a month?
