Question

Turbotax is saying we have $1050 in Other Income and we don't. Where can I find where to see this? The summary of Income only shows are 2 W2's wages.

The entries for Box 1h (Other earned Income)  on your 1040 are listed under heading Line 1h of the Form 1040 instructions.

They represent things like:

  • Strike or lockout benefits
  • Excess elective deferrals
  • Disability pension
  • Corrective distributions from a retirement plan

Hi JohnB5677,

I’ve read the 1040 schedule 1: Other Income doc.  I know it could be a possibility of examples

such as unemployment benefits, or winnings etc. We do not have any of those things listed on the schedule.  When I start from the beginning in the software to review, it only shows me our two W2’s box 1 income and $56 bucks in interest from our credit union.  The math is off.  There is something wrong with the TurboTax software.

You can look at your Form 1040 and schedule 1 to see what income is listed on your tax return.

To view your form 1040 and schedule 1 to 3:

  1. Choose Tax Tools from your left menu bar in TurboTax Online while working in your program
  2. Choose Tools
  3. Choose View Tax Summary
  4. See the Preview my 1040 option in the left menu bar and click on it
  5. Choose the Back option in the left menu bar when you are done
