Turbotax not allowing me to efile amended 2020 federal tax return

My 2020 tax return was processed by the IRS in February 2021. I have been trying to efile my amended 2020 federal return for a couple weeks now. I have reached out to TurboTax support (via chat) on numerous occasions, but no one I speak to has any clue why I can't e-file. The only option TurboTax gives me is to print and mail my amended return. Everything I have read says I should be able to e-file my amended federal return, so I am not sure whats going on. I have even tried deleting my amended return and starting over with no luck. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

while the IRS allows e-filing of amended 2020 returns, Turbotax does not. you'll have to mail it in.

The Turbotax website says you can efile a federal tax return though:

"Beginning with the 2019 tax year, you can e-file amended tax returns. If you used TurboTax to prepare Form 1040-X, follow the software's instructions to e-file the amendment.

To amend a return for 2018 or earlier, you'll need to print the completed Form 1040-X and any other forms you're amending. "
