TurboTax Premium not showing running refund/owe information

In years past when using TurboxTax online, my running refund/owe amount would show on the screen as I enter my data.  This year, I don't see that at all.  I've tried updating both Firefox & Chrome, but I have the same result in either browser.  Has Intuit removed this feature, or is there actually a problem?

When using the TurboTax online editions - click on Review on the left side of the online program screen.

The Tax Refund/Taxes Due meters will now be visible.

Thank you . It doesn't show right away you have to go through several screens. Please revist an "easy button".

I will also stop using this program as well, due to this change. How am I expected to do my taxes and understand the facts of the data I'm entering.  Isn't this the whole point of doing taxes either you owe or due a refund but it will be a mistery for now until you pay TT.

I'm having the same issue, this is lame. Looks like they are trying to trap people into purchasing prior to seeing the numbers. It's shady and deceptive. I'm checking out https://www.freetaxusa.com/

    EDIT

After going back through it for the 3rd time on a different PC, it did calculate my numbers and now shows it on the top. Definitely a little buggy.

I don't see any running status.  I went all the way to the payment page but didn't want to submit it as I still have a few small tax write-offs to enter.  I can see my old forms back to 2012 but 2025 is locked and keeps taking me back to the payment page.  It's quite a frustrating experience this year and thinking of shopping competitors or going back to paper.

Yep, it is frustrating.  Not sure the reason why TurboTax would do this.  I would prefer to stay with them but getting rid of this feature makes me want to look around some (which I hadn't planned on doing).

And from what I hear, H&R Block software has now made it extremely easy to switch over to them and copy all of your information from TT. I'm considering it.

congrats Intuit.  you lost a 20 year customer because of this "feature"

Very frustrating, Turbo Tax.  This is one of the reasons I liked using your software, to see how my choices affected my return.  I might as well just hand over everything to an accountant in the future.

It seems like everyone keeps commenting on this without reading through the other posts. Another user and myself explained how to make this work (at least through the web version). Go to Federal Review, go through the screens until the end eve if you aren’t ready to file yet and the ticker will come back. Then exit out of the review and continue with your taxes and the ticker will remain.

I also mentioned suggesting you pay for your tax software now (again, even if you aren’t ready to file). As soon as you pay TT will allow you to print by out fully filled out 1040 and all subsequent forms through print center based on the info you have completed thus far. I use this feature especially when the ticker doesn’t adjust how I believe it should as I enter info. It helps you see exactly how your forms are being filled out and allows you to catch a mistake more easily.

Nope, didn't work for me. Ticker never came up. Went through the "Federal Review" all the way until it started wanting to start my state taxes.

Yeah I’m all set. This was my last year. that’s a critical that some people need for business

ya whatever nitwit decided to hide that needs to be doged     that is one of the finest features of TT   i have been using tt for at least 20 years    that feature was one of the nicest there was...  i have a very complex situation and like to see if a question is tripping me up a little i can use that tracker to see if i entered the value in the right place or not as i know what it should do to my taxes just maybe not quite sure if that is where or how to enter it......   tracker has ALWAYS helped me get it right.....    i am definitely not a fan of not having that.....   i hope whomever thought this looked like a good idea would see it was NOT a good idea.

bring back the refund tracker ribbon       micheal

If you click "Explain my taxes" at the top, it will open a panel on the right. If you scroll down, you should see "Refund so far." I think this is what you are looking for.
