The form on the IRS web site is just a PDF. It doesn't do any calculations or integrate with the rest of the tax return. TurboTax can't just take the PDF from the IRS web site and plug it into TurboTax. They have to program it in TurboTax, test it, then get IRS approval for the form in TurboTax. Form 8379 is currently expected to be available in TurboTax on March 10. That date is subject to change.
