Question

TurboTax says the State of Missouri accepted my return but Missouri's return tracker tells me they haven't received it yet. Who's right? Or could both be right?

I'm frustrated by this situation because I'm now locked out of Missouri's tracking system for three days because I checked too many times. 😞 And yes, I made sure I entered the information correctly. If TurboTax is wrong, that will be doubly frustrating. I simply want to confirm that my return is accepted and on the path to being processed for my refund.

It is possible the software updates at different times. It is possible for us to say accepted while the other has not been updated. It should not be more than a day's difference though.

If we say your return is accepted and you later discover that MO is saying you did not file, you will want to call us to get your DCN - tracking number. Then your return can be traced by the state.
