When will I recieve the unemployment tax credit? I filed married with dependents in January. I still have not recieved the refund on unemployment tax credit.

Hi ACDuran,

Great job filing your return early! While makes sense that those filing relatively early in the tax season would be the first to receive their unemployment tax refund, the IRS started with the simplest tax returns and is now reviewing more complex returns. Unfortunately, only the IRS can confirm which round your refund will be paid in. Since May, the IRS has issued over 8.7 million unemployment compensation refunds totaling over $10 billion. The IRS will continue reviewing and adjusting tax returns in this category this summer.
