Question

US citizen with spouse on NATO N-2 visa;I am head of household (kids), but for taxes they don't exist. Do I file single head of household or are they nonresident alien?

@marissajvickers , you are US citizen ( yes?); your spouse is on N visa ; are you residing in the USA currently;  why are children not  being recognized -- were they born  in the USA , are they yours or  your are step parent; do the children have  ITIN/SSN;  are they living with you in the USA or  in your home abroad ;  Spouse is a citizen of which country ?       If the family has been in the USA  how long have you been here  /present ( during the  years 2018,2019,and 2020 ).

Need these  bits of info so can understand the  situation  for answering your query
