W-2 Box 14 description error for NYS resident

My public employer used a W-2 Box 14 description of PRETAX for the taxable value of RSUs vested in the current year for which I already paid NY taxes through payroll deduction. I am getting a Box 14 identification error - NYS does not allow the description selected for the NY public employee retirement contribution code entered (ERS, NYRET, RET, NYSERS). To e-file successfully you must choose either "NY IRC 414H Subject to NY tax' or 'NY IRC 414H NY tax exempt' from the picklist.  NYS does not allow 'other - not on the above list.  How do I rectify this?

Sorry, I work for a private sector employer, and I typed public. I do not think that NY IRC 414H applies to this situation.

To fix this error, please use PRE TAX or another description in Box 14 and you should not receive an error on your return and will be able to pick a category besides 414(h).

I have the same problem, and the "PRETAX" option doesn't exist. Work in NYC, live in NJ.
