Return was rejected by IRS due to the W-2G format data base has no hyphen - for EIN.

I tried to take the hyphen out but the software would not let me take it out.

The W2-G entry for Federal Identification Number has a built-in hyphen.  All you need to do is type in the numbers.

If you're using TurboTax Online, try closing the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to your entry.

If you can clarify with more details about your IRS Reject, we'll try to help.
