I have a W2 with no information in box through 12d but it has a wage in the state wage box.  Should I put in that wage in the fed income block in Turbotax?

Box 1 through 12d or nothing just in box 12d?

You can't enter a W2 that only has information in box 16.  You need to have something in box 1 in order to enter the W2.

Is this a W2C or is this one that is just an addition to one you had already?  If you have one that shows something in all the boxes but the state wage box for the same employer you can enter the state wage box on the other one that is complete.

i received 2 w2s from the same employer one was okay. The second one had no info in blocks 1 thru 12d

block 15 had state then the id# block 16 had state wages. TE trouble here is that i worked in one state for the company which the 1st w2 covered real well. The 2nd w2 showed state wages only in my home state even though i did not work in it. Valid w2?

Yes, you need to enter both in one W2 screen. Enter all the information in the W2 form that’s most complete, and then enter the different state and local information from the other W2.

To add another row in the State taxes (Boxes 15-17), select add another state.
