When I run the review on my CA state return, it comes up with this issue: "Wage, IRA and Pension Adjustments Wks: Other Pension Adj - Desc must be entered."  I don't know why I'm getting this or where to find the information.  Can anyone advise, please?

This refers to Schedule CA, line 16. Since it mentions pension adjustment it is referring to California adjustments to IRA, Keogh, SEP, and SIMPLE deductions.

If you contributed to one of these accounts, you can enter "IRA deduction" or "SEP deduction" as the case may be for you.

Thank you, JulieS.  I assume this has to do with my 1099-R (of which I have 4).  Normally Turbo Tax asks what numbers are in the boxes and figures things out.  I'll see if I can figure it out from what you wrote, but this isn't something I expected to have to do with Turbo Tax, which I have used for many years.

After trying to research this topic and even downloading FTB Publication 1005, I was still unable to fill in the requested information.  I skipped it, but TT would absolutely not allow me to e-file without entering something, so I entered N/A  just to put something in, and it proceeded with the e-file.  I have a fairly simple tax situation, and have used TT for something like 10 years because it has been easy to use.  After the frustration from this experience, I will no longer be using TT.
