We are claiming our foster son who lived with us in 2018 from January-August 2018 but our return was rejected stating that he is already being claimed-how do we fix this?

If your foster son meets all the requirements to be your dependent but someone else claimed him already then you will have to print and mail your tax return. Be prepared to show proof to the IRS that you had the right to claim him.
