We did not adopt a child this year. The tax filing program will not let us complete our taxes unless we complete the adoption section. How can I delete/skip this section?

Clearly you just need to adopt a child to progress with your tax filing. 

When I am going through the review section at the end, I get 'answers to review' and 'adoption credit' shows up! I have never adopted any child so why does TT insist I review this section? Should I leave them as blank? Pls help.

Are you able to click on Wages & Income, Other Tax Situations or Federal Review across the top of the screen?  That will allow you to leave this section.

Does your tax return include a carryover of an adoption credit from a previous year or employer-provided adoption benefits reported on a W-2?
