Question

We have coverdell distributions to report. We did start, why won't it let us continue without upgrading?

When we started the return we had access to adding scholarship and coverdell distributions. Now we are back to complete return but when we go to edit/review this information we are told the free version doesn't have the forms we need? We don't need forms, just to be able to continue to add information/edit information. thank you!

If you used the money in the Coverdell account and paid qualified expenses with the distribution, you don't have to enter the Form 1099-Q you received. The 1099-Q should be issued to the beneficiary of the account.

To proceed with free filing, you should delete all the information you entered regarding the Coverdell distribution.
