Your answer to this question will depend on what type of coverage you have.

If you are covered through your job, the Veterans Administration or Tricare, you do not have a marketplace plan and would answer No.

If you have your own insurance plan through a health insurance provider or have Medicaid, you would also answer No.

For the following insurance plans, you would answer Yes.

"If you still are not sure, you can check your health plan member ID card to see if it has the name or logo of your state Marketplace or exchange on it, or if it says QHP. This stands for Qualified Health Plan, which is the official term for a Marketplace or exchange plan. If it doesn't, check with your health insurance plan carrier to see if your plan is a QHP. The contact info is usually on the back of your member ID card.

If you qualified for a tax credit discount that lowered your monthly premiums when you purchased the plan, then you got a Marketplace plan."

All of this information can be found by clicking on "What if I'm not sure?" on the "Were you covered by any of these plans in 2017?" page.
