What can I do if the person that prepared my taxes put son and daughter instead of grandchild. I do have legal custody of my grandchildren?

The treatment of a child and grandchild are exactly the same on an income tax return so there is nothing you need to do for the 2023 filed return. Next year make sure you get that corrected if you go back to the same person/company.
