Question

What do I do if my AGI gets rejected and my efile will not be accepted since this is my first time filing?

Was any 2017 return filed in YOUR name at all--either by yourself or a parent?

If there was no 2017 return in your name at all, then you wouldn't have a 2017 AGI.  You would use an AGI of 0 (zero).

If you told TurboTax that you didn't file a return at all in 2017, TurboTax may put the AGI of 0 for you in the background.

If a parent filed a 2017 return in YOUR name, then you DID file a 2017 return and would have an AGI.

Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information on your rejected AGI: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5595742
