What do I do if my state wages are higher than my federal wages on my w2?

I only worked in one state and had one job.  TurboTax doesn't allow me to continue with the amounts as they are.

Are you saying that the W-2 has a higher number in box 16 than in box 1?  Or has a higher number accidently been entered in box 16 than in box 1 in the TurboTax software?  Please clarify.

Are boxes 1, 3 and 5 of the W-2 all the same number?  Are there any codes in box 12?  What are they?

Yes, my w2 has a higher number in box 16 than in box 1.  Boxes 3 & 5 have the same number but those are different than box 1.

In box 12 I have the codes C, D, W and DD.  Are the 401(k) contributions the issue?  I've been contributing for years and never had this issue.

And yes, I'm in PA.

It's really just a software issue that TTX has to fix somehow.....there is a way around it though.

And what state for boxes 15,16,17?
