Hi,
I have filed federal tax return with an application of ITIN for my wife (W-7). I need to wait for her ITIN to file FBAR and likely need to file extension for FBAR. The gov website says FBAR filers are automatically granted extension. Should I interpret it as I don't need to do anything (like registering an account) at this moment and just wait for the ITIN to come in a few months and then file FBAR?
