Your question is not complete, so I am going to hazard a guess that you meant, "what does 'accepted' mean?"

"Accepted" by the IRS or a state agency means that your e-filing has passed preliminary checks on the return, and the process to issue a refund (if one) has begun.

Note that there are secondary levels of checks that occur in the next week or two, such as determining if you had health insurance under the Affordable Care Act and did not file a form 8962, that the IRS will send you a letter asking for the 8962 before they will process the refund.

Generally, though, accepted means that either your refund or a letter from the IRS is on its way to you.
