(I was trying to amend my W-2, and 2018 tax return if needed, because I received a W-2C with a smaller amount in Box 12 DD.)

You do not need to file an amendment if the only change is in Box 12, with a DD code. This number is the total cost of your health insurance paid through work. It is not deductible or taxable. As far as the error code, Form 8965 is not needed if you and the rest of your household had health coverage all year.
