1. Do I need to submit it to Massachusetts or is it automatic?
2. Do I still need to file for an extension for FBAR? If so, can I file it myself on https://bsaefiling.fincen.treas.gov/NoRegFBARFiler.html after getting an extension?

No, you will need to request an extension when you prepare your Ma state return. As you navigate through the questions, there will be a screen that asks if you would like to file an extension for Massachusetts. Here say yes and complete the section that follows.

You're allowed an automatic extension to October 15 if you fail to meet the FBAR annual due date of April 15. You don't need to request an extension to file the FBAR.
