Paying the TurboTax account fees from the federal tax refund - service charge for this option $40

Could be for a couple things.  One thing is the extra 39.99 Refund Processing Service charge (44.99 in California) if you want the fees for Deluxe deducted from your refund.  You can avoid that one by paying with a credit card .
